  1. Hey guys, thanks for reviewing the Ba-Goom backup (it’s so weird to hear my name on the podcast). I was really relieved that you guys enjoyed it! 🙂 I’ll be posting more details about the backup’s origin and process on the “backup stories” section of the boards, but I just wanted to add a few points regarding the podcast:

    • I did indeed come up with the name GLOOM for the planet, an obvious nod/coincidence nickname that Angel later chose for Ba-Goom. It’s ok if they refer to it as Glum World now but that wasn’t really possible before Angel came up with Mister Glum.

    • I’ve always loved Erik’s insistence on having hand lettering in the book (RIP) and I was a huge fan of his own lettering as well so I really wanted to use my own.

    • Like you pointed out, we had never seen any of the “Glooms / Glums” alive in the book. They were seen dead in #110. Instead of having them all be evil little Mister Glum duplicates, I thought it would be cooler if they were actually as cute minded as they appear. Plus it mirrored Weiko and Rech’s plan to dump Kurr on Earth. By having Dark Dragon overhear the Glooms’ plan, it gives him a reason to murder them all. All that plus plugging Deathseed, Ba-Goom’s teleporting device small enough to be broken by younger Angel — it’s a hell of a lot to fit in only 7 pages (I wanted it done Twisted Funnies style, where the Dark Dragon page would’ve been a left page turn surprise but Erik doesn’t do that format anymore).

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it! Keep up the good work!

Oh and ps. check out the fan art in #37 😛
