    Hello!

I just finished listening to your interview with Erik and boy did it reinvigorate my excitement for this book! Jim, Craig, and Raven, you guys have developed a great breezy rapport with Erik which made the length for me not nearly as bad as I thought when you uploaded the episode. What a time to be in as a fan. When I grew my awareness of how funnybooks are made years ago, the connection with talent was only limited to conventions it seemed. To have the creator of one of the best comics share his time and get into process of how Paul’s origin was put together was listening gold. Erik has always seemed to be a easy going guy who loves making books.

I agree with Raven about the lapsed fan comment in the episode. I’ve been acquainted with casual fans over the years, and their memories of SD go to maybe issue 25 of the main series which ended the Gang War storyline. The beautiful thing about this title has always been its accessibility to readers given that most tales are told in a single issue and that there are enough moments to recap for newer readers. Craig bringing up the kids age near the end made me pause given how this book playing out in real time is still something I think more titles need to try out.

Anyways, I just wanted to drop you guys a line about the episode. Thank you for the content and those retro reviews. I’m looking forward when you guys get to the Dragon: Blood and Guts miniseries. That book made me a fan of Jason Pearson’s art.
