Savage FINcast – Episode 27: A Banner Year

unnamedWith a “Bold New Direction” right around the corner, the Savage FINcast takes some time to reflect back on the events that occurred in Savage Dragon during the past year.  Craig, Jim, and Raven are on board to count down 2013’s most memorable Savage Dragon moments as well as discuss other favorite comics that they read over the past year.  It was a year to remember as Dragon was put on death row, his race was decimated, and his powers were stripped.  Not that it was any less exciting for Malcolm who had relationship highs and lows, witnessed deadly new villains vie for control of Chicago, and prepared to move out on his own.  Join us as we celebrate a true banner year for the Savage Dragon series, in this episode of the Savage FINcast!

Savage FINcast – Episode 24: Jail Break, Heart Breaks

Episode24banner

Its all out mayhem this episode of the Savage FINcast! As Jim and Raven are witness to the pulse pounding Savage Dragon 191! The Vicious Circle decides to spring a few of their pals from the big house! Dragon might be on death row (and down a couple arms) but that’s not going to stop him from cracking a few heads! Also, this episode we lament the passing of a couple several many… um… a few of our favorite characters. All this and Erik Larsen Eews and Savage Dragon Trivia!

Savage FINcast – Episode 23: Heroes, Hoodlums, & Haunts – A Chat with Scott James!

Episode23-final-banner

Join along as we (two of your lovable Fincast hosts, Jim and Craig) take a break from our regularly scheduled programming to bring you a special interview with fan-favorite artist-extraordinaire, Scott James! Scott’s artistic talents on four(!) different Savage Dragon backup stories have allowed him the rare chance to play around with Larsen’s coolest characters! When not messing around in Erik Larsen’s toy chest, Scott’s busy creating his own worlds, including the supernatural-thriller, “The Case Files of Harlan Falk”, as well as “The Mob Files” (along with Vanguard backup artist, Frank Fosco).

For this episode we ditch the news, trivia, and our normal meaningless blather as to focus our collective attention upon Scott like a surgical laser.  Scott indulges us by answering our every question regarding drawing and coloring comics, working with Larsen, playing around with the Savage Dragon characters, and developing creator-owned projects among other things. It’s a great interview with tons of insight into the creative process that you won’t want to miss!
